Page 1: Josephine Parker Family Line (2000-1835)

The most recent generations beginning with Delos Parker and his cousin Mary Eleanor Parker who settled in Garden Plain along with the grandfather.  Delos’s father, Abel Parker II, remained in Vermont. His Grandfather, Abel Parker I, had lost his wife and felt free to move about the country. I have omitted all other ancestors on this chart to simplify the route back to the Reverend Thomas Doolittle.  All these blanks are filled in on Ancestry.com. There are several places in the Parker tree where cousins marry cousins.  Back in the early days of colonial history there were only 40 to 50,000 colonial types in New England and many of them were scattered out in the wilderness, far removed from civilization in places like the Vermont hills in 1800.
